Our Winter Clearance event is still on! We are clearing out in-stock models to make room for new models this spring!
This week, we'll be featuring the functional, but still beautiful, Old Mill Shed. We love this spacious 12x24 shed with the classic shed-style roof (complete with beautiful metal roofing)! It boasts 4 windows, a 6 panel entry door, insulated floor, and is ready for you to finish out the interior to your liking! There are so many potential uses for this beauty!
Here are a few of our ideas:
Perhaps the most common use for this style shed is storage. Putting away things like winter gear, Christmas decorations, and the snow-blower provides valuable space in your home or garage for for summer-related essentials. Another unique storage idea is filling the space with lockable filing cabinets and storing documents or paperwork that takes up space in your home!
The four windows allow enough natural lighting that a person could easily use this space as a workshop and still be sheltered from the elements. 12x24 is quite a bit of room to build furniture, paint a masterpiece, or nearly anything else you could want to craft!
3. Book Nook
Morgan's favorite idea for this space is to turn it into an outdoor library. Adding a few lights, insulating the walls, and taking advantage of the space and using built in shelves would make for an excellent and cozy space away from distraction to read (or write!) a great book. Throw a desk in there and your teen has a fun and less distracting study space!
4. Backyard Sanctuary
Using light and bright finishes on the inside and adding a big comfy couch or a couple cushioned chairs and some house plants would make this space a private backyard sanctuary where a person could meditate, practice a yoga routine, or just relax.
5. Fancy Chicken Coop
Talk about versatile! If you're a backyard farmer with a larger flock of chickens, this space would be perfect for them! Add a small door and ramp to the outside and let your hens free-range, and fill the inside with nest boxes, stairs, perches, and hanging toys! You'll have the happiest (and healthiest!) flock around!
6. Hunting Lodge
Do you have a remote piece of property you use to escape? Does it seem like a small cabin belongs there? If so, the Old Mill may be what you're looking for! Insulate the walls and add a small heating unit, put in a bed and any other furniture you like, and you have yourself a mountain getaway that's unique and totally functional! (The metal roof will sound awesome if you get caught in a rainstorm out there, too!)
7. Mobile Office
If you're a general contractor, roofer, or other job that requires a small on-site office, the Old Mill is a perfect fit! There is plenty of space and light for at least 2-3 employees, and the office can be moved to any job site!
